• Lighthouse – Fanari

The lighthouse of Argostoli, named the Beacon of St. Theodoroi, is set on its own little peninsular just 3 km scenic drive from Argostoli along the Fanari road. It is a picturesque, low level, concentric building unlike its English counterparts. The lighthouse with its stunning sunsets across the water to the rolling hills of Lixouri, make it popular with many wedding couples.  It is a fabulous site to capture striking and memorable wedding photos.

• Katavothres

Katavothres Rest Area is home to one of the most important geological phenomena on the island. At the cape of St Theodore, next to Lighthouse of Argostoli (Fanari), pretty water holes are found in the grounds of the venue. Here sinkholes beneath the sea transport sea water underground across the entire island, from west to east. It takes two weeks for the sea water from Katavothres to reappear at Melissani Lake, near Sami!
