amazing wedding in Ithaca

In January 2019, Alex and I decided to get married in Ithaca, Greece. Growing up, I would spend every summer as a child in Ithaca in the small village of my father, this place is very special to me and I always dreamed of getting married there. Both being based in the United States made the thought of holding and planning a wedding in Greece, let alone a small village on a small island a daunting task. We turned to Cleopatra and she made our dreams come true.

When originally seeking professional assistance, we didn’t see very many wedding planners that catered to Ithaca. But once finding Cleopatra’s website and seeing the beautiful experiences she created for others, including a family friend from South Africa we decided to reach out.

Once we reached out, Cleopatra set up a conference call (not an easy task given the time difference) where we discussed our vision. Immediately we felt comfortable with Cleopatra and knew she could make our vision a reality.

Given our chosen location there were limited venue options. But, we chose a beautiful hotel overlooking the coastline. While the view was amazing the space required work in order to change it from a hotel pool into an elegant ballroom. Cleopatra visited the island and the venue in the early spring to better understand how she was going to create our vision.

Leading up to and on the wedding day, Cleopatra and her team of associates from all over Greece worked their magic. She arranged for the most delicious food to be cooked onsite, where no guest left hungry. The ambience was truly spectacular with gorgeous lighting highlighting the venues natural beauty. The flower arrangements, chandeliers, and elaborate decorations truly made me feel like Cinderalla at the ball. Our remarkable fireworks entrance is a memory we will always cherish.

With the food and the venue looking amazing the evening’s stage was set for an unforgettable night. The kefi of our closest family and friends carried through until 8:30 in the morning with the grand finale being a celebratory morning dip in the pool at the venue!

Cleopatra ensured the evening was flawless coordinating with numerous venders and musical performers- a DJ and two local bands. She was very easy to work with and without her help our dreams would not have become a reality. We truly are thankful for choosing her and would recommend her to anyone planning on getting married in Ithaca or in Greece in general.
